We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. Please read this privacy policy carefully.

1. Data Controller

2. What Personal Data Do We Process?

To provide resume generation services, we process data that you voluntarily enter into the application forms. This may include:

• Identity data (name and surname),
• Contact details (phone number, email address, location),
• Professional experience and education history,
• Professional profile description ("About me"),
• Image (photo for the resume),
• Interests, skills, and project information,
• Links to social media profiles and other voluntarily provided information.

Providing this data is voluntary but necessary to perform the service (generate a resume file).

Important: With the exception of your name and email address, all data entered into the creator and generated resume files are permanently deleted from our databases immediately after you download the document. We retain your email address and name solely for the purpose of sending necessary operational messages (e.g., service confirmation).

Additionally, we use analytical tools (Google Analytics) that collect anonymous statistical data about website usage (e.g., visited subpages, time spent). This data is not used to directly identify the User.

3. Purposes of Data Processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

• Service Provision: Creating and generating a professional resume.
• Operational Communication: Sending notifications about service status (via Sender.net).
• Analytics and Improvement: Analyzing website traffic to optimize service performance (Google Analytics).
• Satisfaction Survey: Sending a request for feedback on the application (2 days after downloading the CV).
• Marketing: Only with your separate consent – sending commercial information.

4. Data Recipients

Your data may be shared with trusted external entities that support us in providing services:

• Vertex AI (Google Cloud): If you use the "Import CV" feature, the document is processed by Vertex AI to read the data. This takes place in a secure environment, and data is deleted immediately after processing (details in section 12).
• Google Analytics: Analytics service provider (anonymous data).
• Sender.net: Email service provider (we transfer name and email for communication purposes).

5. Data Retention Period

• Resume Data: Stored only for the duration of the document creation session. Deleted immediately after the file is downloaded by the User.
• Name and Email: Stored until the termination of Modern Resume service operations or until the User objects/requests deletion.
• Analytical Data: Stored according to Google settings (typically up to 26 months).

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data,
• Rectify your data,
• Delete data ("right to be forgotten"),
• Restrict processing,
• Object to processing,
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (including SSL encryption) to protect your data against unauthorized access. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We have implemented safeguards to protect data against loss, misuse, or modification. This includes restricting access to personal data only to necessary processes.

10. Children's Privacy

Modern Resume services are not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete such information.

11. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Editing Functions

To support the process of creating and editing resume content, we use language models from Google (Gemini AI). In the context of editing functions (excluding the "Import CV" feature described in section 12), AI does not process your identifying data (name, email). Only general descriptions of positions, education, or "About me" sections are transmitted to improve their quality or suggest skills.

12. Supplemental Notice for U.S. Residents

If you are a resident of the United States, you may have additional rights under applicable state privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA). Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal data we collect, use, or disclose about you,
• Request access to and deletion of your personal data,
• Opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal data (Note: Modern Resume does not sell personal data).
